I am a writer of short stories, poetry, and other works about contemporary American life and its complexities.

My most recent story, “A Trip to Geneva,” was published in July 2026 in Penstricken, a British literary journal. I was inspired to write this story after hearing an interview with the writer Amy Bloom, who wrote a memoir (In Love) in 2022 about caring for her husband, who had Alzheimer’s disease. He decided to end his life with the help of Dignitas, an organization in Switzerland.

“A Trip to Geneva” is entirely fiction, and I’m very pleased that it found a home at Penstricken.
